Allow me to reintroduce MUUNO Swim, one of my favorite local swimwear brands. I won’t say much about their re-brand, but I’m definitely loving everything about it, especially the direction they allowed me to take makeup-wise. The focus is still very much on the skin, but this time more structured but still quite undone and imperfect. Putting into play both major contouring and highlighting, it was my hope that it turned out to be a balance of strong and delicate.
Started off with a generous amount of moisturizer and liquid highlighter (Benefit Girl Meets Pearl) and a long wearing foundation since we shot 5 layouts. Applied the contours with a cream, and dusted a little bit of setting powder for a dewy finish. Played with around 4-5 shimmer and frost shadows for the eyes – something I haven’t done in a very long time, gotta love clients who give a little bit of editorial feel to shoots – and a smudged line of gel liner on top. False eyelashes were applied just to keep the lashes full and lush, and kept uncurled to veer away from the wide-eyed and glamorous vibe false lashes tend to give. Brows were filled in, brushed up and kept bushy and messy. Highlights all over, with about x5 more on the cheekbones, c/o my favorite highlighting palette, Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette. Lips were muted down and glossed up – something I haven’t done in a while too, considering the whole matte lip trend sweeping the world – with MAC Kissable Lipcolour.
Definitely one of my favorite looks I’ve done so far. 🙂
