Raising The Barre: A Mini-Documetary

For our final requirement in Com101 – Communications Theory class for the semester, we were tasked to apply a theory in a common scenario. After a not-so-tedious string of meetings and brainstorming, we decided to do a mini-documentary on the dancing subculture in the Philippines and applied the queer theory on dancers that break the stereotypes.

It was definitely a pleasure to work on this documentary since I miss and love dancing so much. This was actually the second time I’ve tried dancing again after my injury and damn, it felt so good to do a few jumps and turns and actually wear my leotard cause I’m now too unfit to wear just a sports bra. Haha.

Anyway, check it out (in HD!) and we’d leave to hear what you think and we hope you enjoy!
