#nowplaying – Hell Week

Hell Week – there is no understatement. It is true that when Ateneans say they’re having Hell Week, they really are going through hell. The most common time for Hell Week is the week before finals, two weeks away from sweet sweet freedom. Or, now. It’s already been a tough first two days but it’s still nothing compared to the past few hell weeks I’ve had in freshman year and that’s what keeps me going, I guess; knowing that I’ve been through much, much worse gives me the will to do everything else.

But really, what plays a really important part in my Hell Week survival is having a distraction-free and unclingy playlist to listen to. While I have the time mid-hell week, I’ll post categorized playlists just because.

Keep-Me-Awake-And-Slightly-Happy | OMG-I’m-Almost-Done-LAST-PUSH Playlist:

  1. Intoxicated – The Cab
  2. Show Me Lights – Friendly Fires
  3. Sugar, We’re Going Down – Fall Out Boy
  4. So Much Love – The Rocket Summer
  5. Rocketeer – Far East Movement
  6. Give Me Everything – Neyo & Pitbull
  7. Stereo Hearts – Gym Class Heroes & Adam Levine
  8. Runaway Baby – Bruno Mars
  9. Rolling In The Deep – Adele
  10. Best Love Song – Chris Brown & T-Pain

Misery-Loves-Company (For lonely all-nighters that make you involuntarily think about life) Playlist

  3. Heart – Stars
  4. All Back – Chris Brown
  5. Stay – Hurts
  6. Slow Dancing In A Burning Room – John Mayer
  7. The One That Got Away – Katy Perry
  8. Goodbye – Ke$ha
  9. Good To You – Marianas Trench
  10. Sweetest Goodbye – Maroon 5

Lethargic-But-Awake-And-Struggling

  1. Electric Feel – MGMT
  2. Blue Cassette – Friendly Fires
  3. Fences – Phoenix
  4. Lasso – Phoenix
  5. Rome – Phoenix
  6. Kids – MGMT
  7. Sunday – Bloc Party
  8. Please Don’t Go – Mike Posner
  9. Falling – Mike Posner
  10. I.Y.A – Chris Brown

On a non-hell-week-related note, I highly suggest everyone to get a copy of The Cab’s Symphony Soldier album if I haven’t said it yet. All of the songs are just amazing. It’s like their version of Adele’s 21, if you ask me.

And a picture from better days,

Please Take Me Back To Bora
